It has been 2 years since my first visit here and it has remained reliable and unchanged. Still, I can look forward to the most deliciously brewed soy milk, hand made tofu products, grab & go tofu and noodle dishes in the fridge, frozen items like bao and dumplings and ready-to-go hot food too. I almost always come for the gua bao and rice balls with a side of chili oil and maybe a grab & go item from the fridge. This is a tiny mom & pop shop that really gives off that local hole in the wall vibe I feel when I'm in Taiwan. I've said this before but if I lived closer, I'd honestly be here every other day. They have so much yummy stuff to try and it's sure to nourish your craving for good, healthy food. There is no shortage of protein here! I can't wait until my next visit!

Sogo Tofu is the best! Everything is vegetarian and so yummy. They have very unique, homey dishes you don't typically see in Taiwanese/Chinese restaurants. I like getting their bentos where you can choose one base and a couple sides, of which my favorites are spongy gluten, bat nuts, eggplant, and seaweed knots. They also have dough-based snacks like chive pockets and Taiwanese breakfast, which sometimes runs out. Everything is reasonably priced. There's usually no line.

You don't come to Sogo for meat items, because everything here is vegetarian. But they do a pretty dang good job of producing the Taiwanese breakfast experience, without our favorite proteins. The soybean milk is made fresh and comes in sweet and non sweet variations. You absolutely have to try the rice burrito (fan tuan), which combines sticky rice, pickled vegetables, and egg. The other pastry items are also quite delicious. It's a mom and pop shop with the old school Taiwanese feel to it. They're friendly, and I'm not sure if they speak English. Mandarin is fine. If in doubt just point.

I was on the hunt for you tiao (Chinese fried donuts/cruellers) and do fu nao (tofu soup to eat with the you tiao), and this was one of the few places that popped up. The you tiao was standard, soymilk was great, but unfortunately they didn't have the tofu soup :( Maybe the South Bay just doesn't have Northern Chinese fare because I've been searching and searching for the savory do fu nao to no avail. Alas, no worries, this place has a wide variety of other handmade goodies! AND they're all vegetarian too. Fear not fellow meat-lovers, I can vouch that all the dishes are delectable and packed with flavor, with no two dishes tasting the same. We got their home made soy milk and black sesame milk. It comes both pre-sweetened or not sweet- I opted for not sweet so I can adjust my own levels of sugar. We also got a to go box of noodles and three entrees which paired perfectly alone or with porridge. The flavors reminded me of home, and by home I meant China so they're super authentic. The prices are a bit higher than other places, but very reasonable when you consider they're all made by hand in small batches and the quality of ingredients involved. If you're looking to support a neighborhood mom and pop shop, and want to eat some delicious Chinese vegetarian sides, go visit this shop now.

Always wanted to try this place and was heavily recommended from friends. Coming to the place itself, it is very small and no dining inside. Plenty of parking spots. Coming to food choices, oo man, there are plenty of options to fill in various appetites We could even take some dim sums home as well and they looked yummy. You can take bento box as well and they looked good but couldnt try this time We tried a few : Gua bao was awesome Sticky rice roll with egg outside was Winner for me and hmm filling inside ( i think this is called fan tuan) was truly awesome Seaweed sticky rice roll was the runner up for me with so much flavor inside Spicy Tofu - This is heavenly with little bit of spiceness and flavor was awesome. We also took a bun and this was my least favorite among the all We tool taro bun and was ok Grilled scallion was decent

Please support this local business my fellow vegetarian and tofu lovers!! It's a little pricey but those extra dollars will pay off when you realize everything is handmade and going to a business that you want to keep in the area!! My absolute favorite breakfast item is a fan Tuan and they sell them all day long - again completely vegetarian with veg "pork" floss, which is sometimes hard to find. Their freshly squeezed soymilk has me in a chokehold and I will no longer be purchasing Silk or anything of that sort. So delicious. I also really like their tofu and soy skin options (not a fan of their seaweed it felt too ocean-tasting to me) but their buns and dumplings are not to be missed! My favorite is their mushroom/spinach bun! So so good, and you can be sure to get tons of clean vegetarian protein options.

This is a vegetarian's dream! If you're a meat eater, you have been warned! There is no meat here! +++ A M B I A N C E +++ This place is a small take out place! They have shelves full of refrigerated food like soy milk and soups that you take and warm up at home. There is a counter where you pick what food you want in your lunch box and additional side items and then pay at the register: Chipotle style. There was a line last time we went! +++ F O O D +++ [+] Lunch Box I got 3 lunch boxes! You choose from a noodle base: spicy wide flat noodles and not spicy thin rice vermicelli! This takes up half the box. You then get 3 sides for each box! There were all sorts of things, I don't know what all of them are! There was an eggplant dish, bokchoy with bean curd, mushroom with tofu. It all tasted delicious! The portions they give is generous! [+] Green Chive Box Bun The man in line ahead of me asked me if I wanted any Green Chive Box Buns and I said yes and he said "Oh you should order first because I am going to buy whatever they have left!" How nice of him! Also of course I wanted it try one if someone thought it was so good that he was going to buy ALL of them! This was pretty tasty, I wish it had more seasoning and more egg. It had a lot of noodle but not enough chive. Unfortunately, all the food we got was room temperature. It was strange. I wasn't sure if I was supposed to take it home and warm it up or eat it at that temperature? I think it tasted better hot. [+] Soy Milk The soy milk tastes good! The sweetened soymilk is not very sweet, which is nice! The best compliment from a Chinese person hahaha. We love our minimally sweet treats hahaha. +++ S E R V I C E +++ A lot of signs are in Mandarin Chinese with English translation. They also accept credit card. The servers speak both English and Chinese, so pick whatever you are more comfortable with. It is a great place to practice your Chinese! The servers are really friendly! My husband spoke to them entirely in English and I spoke to them entirely in Chinese, so I thought it was great! +++ O V E R A L L +++ There were so many pastries in this place that I wanted to try and buy! I will definitely have to come back! Next time I will just reheat everything when I get back home! Then it will be piping hot!
